Trek through dense forests alongside Parvati River to reach Kheerganga. A gradual ascent with hot springs at the campsite.
Trail moves deeper into the valley with fewer trees and more rugged terrain. River crossings and boulder sections begin.
Long walking day across glacial moraines and streams. Landscape becomes more barren and dramatic.
Shorter day for acclimatization. Meadows open up with views of surrounding peaks and glaciers.
Gradual climb to base camp near the glacier. Terrain becomes icy and preparation for summit push begins.
Summit day. Early start to cross the pass (~5319m). Steep climb, glacier traverse, followed by descent to Mantalai lake.
Descend along the Pin River. Terrain shifts dramatically to cold desert landscape.
Final stretch through Spiti valley terrain. Reach Mud village marking the end of the trek.
Drive from Mud to Kaza. Rest and recovery after the expedition.
Drive via Atal Tunnel or Rohtang Pass back to Manali. End of journey.
